Physical  properties
1- Methan:
·         It is a colour less ,odourless and non-poisonous gas.
·         It is slightly soluble in water .
·         It molecule is symmetrical and non polar.
·         It is lighter than air.
·         Liquefied is less denser than water.                                                    ( Reference: STB page#131)
2-  Ethene:
·         It is colour less gas with sweet smell.
·         It produce anaesthesia on inhalation.
·         It is sparingly soluble in water but soluble in organic solvent just like alcohol and ether.
·         It Is less denser than air.                                                                     ( Reference: STB page#137)

3-Ethyne :
·         It is colour less gas wth sweet snell.
·         It is sparingly soluble in water.
·         It is less denser than air .
·         It explodes on compression to liquid because  of un stable.               ( Reference: STB page#142)

4-Benzene:
·         It is colour less liquid. Its M.P 5.5oC   and B.P 80oC.
·         It has peculiar smell .
·         It is highly inflammable as aromatic compound burns with a smoky flame as it contain 93.6% carbon.
·         It is immiscible in water. It is miscible in ethanol and ether colour less fat, resins ,sulphur and iodine.
·         It is TOXIC compound and cause blood cancer .
·         It is used for manufacture of nitrobenzene, dyes and drugs.              ( Reference: STB page#148)
